What if the “most exciting time of your life”
is a time of difficult experiences and emotions?

Watercolor Brush 4_edited_edited.png

Welcome...

Often when we imagine the process of pregnancy and having a baby, we picture moments of joy.  But pregnancy, birth, and parenting are like the rest of life.  There is often joy, but there can be tough times too.  Sometimes pregnancy and postpartum depression, anxiety and self-doubt become overwhelming. Sometimes pregnant women can have thoughts that are scary.  The unexpected happens, things don’t go as planned, relationships change, or grief and loss occurs.  If you have having concerns or have experienced trauma about becoming pregnant, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, pregnancy loss, or being a new parent, you are not alone.  Please know it’s not your fault, you can get help, and you can feel better.

I am a licensed psychologist, providing a warm, caring, and high-quality treatment for women, new mothers, partners, babies, and families as they heal and grow through the good times and challenges of the perinatal period.  Therapy services include preconception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenting infants/toddlers, and perinatal loss.

What if the “most exciting time of your life” is a time of difficult experiences and emotions?

I invite you to call and schedule an appointment so that you do not walk through this time alone.

Please reach out and take the next step toward healing and feeling better.  And feel free to bring your baby to your session to try out our rocking chair.

Meet Diamond...

Did you know that Arizona has wild horses?  The Salt River Wild Horses are nearby, about a 50-minute drive from downtown Phoenix.  A few years ago I went out to see the Salt River wild horses and I met this energetic and engaging baby colt, Diamond.  Under the watchful eyes of his parents, mom Sapphire and dad Shadowfax, Diamond frolicked and kicked up his heels with complete abandon!  Watching this little one, so new to the world, filled me with a joy for life that warms my heart to this day.

I hope that someday you will go to the Tonto National Forest and see the wild horses for yourself, often easily seen from the forest service parking lots along the lower Salt River.

I also invite you to join me in becoming a supporter of the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group, who contracts with governmental agencies to monitor the health and well being of the wild horses.  You can learn more about the work of the SRWHMG and make a contribution at:
